Awana Ministry
What is Awana?
|
Awana is a nondenominational ministry that assists churches in reaching children and teenagers with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him. Our message is simple: We're here to serve you with a ministry that is all about fun with a purpose — to win and grow kids for Christ!
|
Our Awana Missionaries
| Each Awana club has their own missionary(ies). These missionaries provide evangelistic materials, lessons, visual aids, Awana support, teaching and training for ministries, etc. Without these dear men and women, the Awana program would not be what it is today. In Kentucky, we are very fortunate to have two of the greatest missionaries Awana has ever known, Tim and Cheryl Welcher. For more information about Tim and Cheryl you can contact them through the information below. |

Who is Awana for?
| Awana is for children and youth. More specifically: Preschoolers through 12th grade. Each age/grade level is sectioned into it's own club. |
Our Awana Commander
| As every program in a church or business, there needs to be a leader; someone who can handle the needs, wants, problems, training, and other things the program has to have to function at it's peak. Here at Unity we are privelaged to have Laura Malone as our Awana Commander. Through her dedication to the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Awana program, we have seen tramendous growth in our children's spiritual walk with the Lord, but not only that, we have seen numerous kids give their lives to the Lord as well. Mrs. Malone has been our Awana Commander for 15 years now. If you are interested in starting a club at your church, please contact our Awana Missionaries, and they will guide your steps. |
